We constantly search the World for cutting edge materials liaising with Defence, Law Enforcement units and also other manufacturers to deliver the best quality and design for the END USER.

Over the years we have had all kinds of Soldiers work for us Armour, Infantry, MPs, Transport, Artillery, Intelligence, RAAF and Police and Army Special Forces. All with different priorities, loyalties and Ideas none given more preference than others. A Tug of War at times but no one system suits all. We estimate over 300 years of Defence service between all the Ex and Current Serving staff.
I guess you cannot fit a Rugby team out with a Polo Teams kit.
Likewise we recognize the diverse jobs within our customer remit, Sigs, Gunners, Cooks, Scouts, Medics, Drivers, Breachers, and Snipers and on and on. All important.
We agree with you “It should be issue ,you should not have to buy it”, Our priority is Government sales so you don’t have to fork out your hard earned bucks, but we also realize that supplementing your issue kit with some gear should be an option to all diggers.

R.A.D. MAN Research and Development Manufacturing
We have dedicated R and D staff who spend their life being Nerdy, tweaking and adjusting, driving the machinists nuts. They must be alright because one of our competitors spends a lot of time trying to poach them. Because we manufacture in house we can develop large or small projects and have even developed entire product lines for competitors who don’t have their own expertise. There are few imitators around too, but none have spent the time or had the driving passion to see it through.
We not only do the R and D but we see Projects and Products through to completion.

We proudly manufacture the majority of products in Australia and also bring brand items in from the USA and the UK. We have a factory on site at Hallam and utilize specialist Clothing Manufacturers in Melbourne. x

PLAT A TAC brand launched to separate Military and Police Lines from Adventure, Expedition lines of Platypus Outdoors.
