Gift Certificates

Plat A Tac Gift Certificates are valid for three months from date of purchase.

Plat A Tac Gift Certificates cannot be exchanged for money - Gift Certificates can only be exchanged for products currently in stock.

Plat A Tac Gift Certificates cannot be exchanged via the website.

To claim goods with a Plat A Tac Gift Certificate, you are required to visit the Plat A Tac retail store or phone our head office on (03) 9796 5355 and submit a phone order.

Delivery Conditions

All orders are sent out via  Star Track Express, which requires a signature.Parcels will not be left unattended at a residence if unclaimed i.e. behind gate or on the front porch etc. If recipiant is not at the delivery location, a note will be left to arrange alternate delivery.

Platypus Outdoors Group will not be held responsible for delivery failure as a result from unattendance.

Unclaimed articles is where an article is addressed for delivery at an office; or to an addressee at a hotel or other accommodation establishment, other than the proprietor, an employee, or a member of the family of the proprietor or an employee of that establishment, and has not been claimed by the addressee within 30 days after the date on which the article is delivered to that office or establishment, the article shall be treated as an article unclaimed by its addressee.

When ordering via phone or email, please specify to the sales person if you require the order sent via express post or regular post.

When ordering over the website – please select the corresponding freight charges that apply to your order – Platypus Outdoors is not accountable if you select the wrong option.

Australian Forces Posted Overseas (AFPO) addresses:

Orders selected as AFPO less than 2KG must be for AFPO addresses only. Platypus Outdoors Group will not ship your parcel if you have selected AFPO and not supply an AFPO address.

Australia Post policy states parcels can not be left at a residence unattended i.e. behind a gate or on the front porch etc. If unclaimed it will be sent back to the local or nearest post office to wait collection for a maximum of 30 days. After the 30 days has expired the parcel will be sent back to Platypus Outdoors Group

Postage Price Structure:

Postage and Handling for orders within Australia for orders over $200 = FREE

Postage and Handling for orders under $200 within Australia for orders under $200 = $16.50

AFPO (Australian Forces Postage Office) under 2kg = Free

All International orders  = Australia Post Airmail (Price based on location and weight)

Express post within Australia is additional $16.50 (for all orders)

*Website purchase may take 24 – 48 hours to process, if you require more urgent delivery, please contact us via Phone.

*Phone orders generally ship the same day.

*Platypus Outdoors Group Pty Ltd – take no responsibility for items damaged or lost goods during delivery – if you require insurance please contact us via phone for a quote.

*If you supply incorrect information and Australia Post cannot deliver your parcel, or you do not collect your parcel from the Post Office you may be asked to cover freight costs for us to resend your goods.

These timetables are guidelines only and based on reasonable expectations and experience.

Warranty Information

Platypus Outdoors Group and Platatac’s limited warranty covers defects caused by manufacturing and workmanship and does not include damage caused due to weather, extremes of climate, acts of God, animal activity, deliberate intent, occupational hazards, fire or chemicals, loss during postage and/or transport either by post/couriers/sea or air freight. This warranty becomes void if the product becomes damaged beyond reasonable repair.

We have been known to one for one gear, new for old with bullet holes and battle damage (at our discretion). Whilst we encourage you not to stand in front of incoming rounds we do understand  for a lot of customers its an occupational thing.

Platypus Group are proud to serve those that serve , we have a rich history of doing so and some items are included in the Platypus Historical  Collection as well as donated to the Australian War Memorial as well as Unit Historical Collection’s and museums.

Refunds/Exchanges

If an item is listed as out of stock on our website or at $0, please do not order then request the item in a colour/size that is not listed as your order will not be processed. Please contact us for availability for any requests for size/colour etc. at sales@platypusoutdoors.com.au

Change of mind

• Product must be returned within 10 working days of receiving the item. If exchanging an item, enclose a stamped, self-addressed Australia Post satchel to accommodate the return item. 
•  If purchased at our retail store (353 Little Bourke St), the product must be returned to the store within 7 days with all tags still attached and/or in the condition in which it was purchased, and presented with original receipt.
