Description

As the name suggests the Antarctica is our most extreme performance bag, using a combination of highly water repellent Isodry outer layer of fibres teamed with a luxurious layer of Softie next to the skin, the performance of this bag is further enhanced with the addition of Reflectatherm which adds at least 15% to the overall performance of the bag. A quick release centre zip enables a speedy exit should the need arise.

Material Details

What it is: Lightweight nylon fabric.

How it works: Finely constructed from fine filament yarns (34 stands per bundle 10,000metres of each bundle weighing only 54 grams) each filament 10 times finer than a human hair.

The gaps between the fibres cause the moisture to wick across a larger surface area allowing it to evaporate more readily, as the perspiration is evaporating from within the fabric the user is not cooled.

Where it is used: Ideal as a sleeping bag lining or as a casing fabric for lightweight low pack size insulated clothing.

As part of our continuing development process to keep our synthetic insulation at the leading edge we are pleased to introduce the next generation in sleeping bag technology. Softie premier uses the same basic principles as traditional Softie but improvements in extrusion technology and binding resins result in a finer, softer and more durable insulation.

Reflectatherm layer - "Space Age technology in a down to earth application."

This metallised fabric is designed to reflect heat and retain warmth. A highly breathable material, which adds little to the weight or pack size of the product and provides at least 15% additional warmth whilst being undetectable by touch in the sleeping bag or garment.
