The Skycrane
[Recent reports from the field:] "I had the Skycrane out during an op. The first thing I noticed was the comfort while wearing the IBA (Interceptor Body Armor) A lot different due to its... size, padding, and the ability to carry a lot of weight... I noticed the distribution of the weight to the hips rather than weighing down on my back as my issued large Alice pack does.
I carried out mission essentials and 12 litres of water for sustainment in the pack. The shooting mat also came in handy not only as a shooting mat but an insulator between me and the ground, its still cold here at night."
"Just wanted to say thanks for making great gear. I'm currently deployed in Iraq... Our battalion ordered a bunch of Skycrane rucks for us. I love 'em! They are great packs. They are extremely versatile. I can load them up for multiday missions or collapse them for 6-12 hour stints. And the suspension system is great...just like a civilian internal frame pack. I'm so impressed."
...is an easy to use, full-featured pack unlike anything that has ever come before it. It's easy and fun to use, and is designed to have such a variety of uses that you will find it capable of doing just about anything, great or small, that you'd want to do with a backpack. It's comfortable, diverse, rugged, and, well, full of superlatives.
The J263 Skycrane introduces a new concept: a modular internal frame backpack that has many "firsts" embedded into it. First application of a Cam Expansion Load Bay backpack. First strapless case carriage. First removable Backscabbard convertible to a drag bag. First use of this type of modular backpack concept.
It certainly is the "first of its kind." Take a look, and you may agree that this is the world's most interesting backpack. Not to mention that it's the world's most versatile backpack.
